6 Steps To Making My First Sale On Clickbank
ClickBank is the #1 information product affiliate marketing site,
but knowing what to promote can be daunting because they have
thousands of different products in different categories for you
as an affiliate to promote.
I outline the steps I took to get my first sale in Clickbank. I
must emphasis that I am not a guru but just an average guy
like you looking to earn some extra income. The steps I took
are as follows
Step 1 – I set myself a Goal
The first thing I did was set a goal so that I can encourage
myself daily and work towards actually making that first sale. My
goal was to be able to pay my mortagage every month with
my net profits from Clickbank. Now that might sound impossible
at first but working backwards you can calculate what you need
to make in sales monthly, weekly, daily to achieve that goal. I
am close to achieving that goal but not yet.
Step 2 – Researched a Product that I could sell on Clickbank.
As I said in the beginning this might sound daunting but to
be honest I would suggest to start with looking in these
three categories on Clickbank. They are EBusiness & Marketing
Health & Fitness, Self Help. I suggest this 3 categories
because from my research the top products in these categories
sell like crazy and you can’t possibly go wrong if you pick
a product that is selling well and solves a potential problem
for people. My first sale came from a product in the Self Help
Category. However if you have a hobby or passion, feel free
to research a product that sells well and promote it.
Step 3 – Gave away something of value related to the product I was selling
I bought a Privale Label Rights product that I could give away on the
squeeze page that I would be creating so that I can give it away to my
prospects if they opt in to my list. There are many places
where I look for PLR products. These include Master-Resale-Rights.com
and PLRWholeSaler.com
Step 4- Step Up A Simple Website with Squeeze Page.
I set up a squeeze page to start collecting subscriber details
by giving away something of value that I got in Step 3. I did
this because most of my prospects coming to my sales page
would not buy from me the first time and I needed to cultivate
a relationship with them over time for them to win my trust and
do business with me. The key here is to give away something of
value to your list.
Step 5 – Drive Traffic To Website (JV’s, Article Marketing, Solo Ads)
Once I had my site set up I started driving traffic
to the website so that I can get prospects into my list
I used mainly article marketing, buying solo ads to drive
traffic to my website. Once I have built my lists to a certain
no, I am going to start looking for JV partners that I can work
with.
Step 6 – Promote to your list
Sent emails to my list regularly with advice, tips, tricks
to build relationships with them.
Those are the 6 Steps that I took to get my first sale in Clickbank. I
am continuosly refining these steps and I am continuosly tweaking the
steps to get more sales…
In my future posts, I will break down each step and give you more details
on how to set things up…
I strongly suggest you build a list if you are going to make
money with Clickbank. I made the mistake of not building a list
early in my Internet marketing career and it has cost me a lot of time
and money.
I hope you enjoyed this article and please feel free to drop me a
comment if you liked it or not or you have a different approach.
